Role Description
We are looking for an experienced PHP Developer to maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance legacy PHP applications in regulated environments. You will manage databases, APIs, and web servers while ensuring compliance, reliability, and high performance.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot legacy PHP applications in production.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, audits, and regulations.
- Manage and optimize MySQL databases for performance and integrity.
- Configure and maintain Apache web servers.
- Develop and maintain secure SOAP and REST APIs.
- Monitor application performance, availability, and stability.
- Investigate incidents and perform root cause analysis.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions for reliability.
- Maintain technical documentation and integration specifications.
- Support audits, compliance reviews, and modernization initiatives.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related.
- Experience in government, public sector, or regulated industries.
- Familiarity with UAE digital government standards.
- Exposure to modern PHP frameworks (Laravel, Symfony).
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frontend concepts.
- Arabic and English Language proficiency
Must Have
- 7+ years PHP 5.x/5.6 experience.Experience with data pipeline orchestration and automation
- Strong MySQL 5.7 expertise.
- Apache Web Server configuration and support.
- SOAP & REST API development experience.
- Secure coding and compliance knowledge.
Nice to have
- Experience in modernization/migration of legacy systems.
- Government or semi-government project exposure.
- Git version control familiarity.
- Strong analytical and documentation skills.
- Collaboration with operations and infrastructure teams.
